Frilly Flowers

For my Stampin Club we generally make 1 card and one 3D or giftable item.  I had a customer let me know that she'd like to learn to make paper flowers.  I how to make this awesome flower at Stampin' Up!'s regional conference in SLC.  I immediately loved the flower when I saw them make it and had to buy the punch!

Since the focus was on the flower, we quickly adhered it to a tag.  Wouldn't that be the cutest birthday tag!

Supplies:

Butterfly Punches
Fancy Flower punch

Wildflower Meadow

I cannot believe that June is almost over.  It's been a whirlwind of month so far with various camp outs and activities that have consumed my time!
I designed this card for a shoebox swap with my fellow demonstrator friends.  It was SOOO much fun. This card was a little too complicated for a shoebox swap, but I loved it and made them suffer through it :)

I used the new set "Wildflower Meadow" in Wisteria Wonder on the background.  This set is fun because it has a coordinating embossing folder! LOVE.  Stampin' Up! gets me every time with the matchy matchy. Anyway.  I ran Pistachio Pudding (new in color) through the bigshot with the coordinating texture folder and then inked it with Pistachio Pudding ink pad. I stamped the image again on Strawberry Slush (new in color) for the flowers, then one more time in Crisp Cantaloupe (new in color) for the hummingbird. A simple strip of Crisp Cantaloupe along the bottom with Whisper White 1/4" stitched Grosgrain ribbon and a greeting.  I love cutting things out.  So even though it was a lot of work for one card.  I thought the extra work really made it POP!

Thanks for looking!

Blog Hop: You're The Man

HI Friends! I can't believe I can say that we now have a LIVE new catalog! This is such an exciting time! Though, less exciting when I go to my craft room to make a project and lots of my accessories and stamp sets are now retired.  Making a card with current product proved to be difficult. Not to mention making a man theme card! It's so easy to make girly fluffy cards, but when I make a masculine card I have to think a little more when it comes to embellishments. And lets face it, I need to make a few masculine stamp set purchases.  The stamp sets I used here are "Oh, Hello" and "Delightfully Dozen" I love the look of a stamp collage.  So I love to layer the stamped images.

The only current DSP I have is "THis and That", but thankfully I had that! I love this polkadotty print. I used This and That Washi Tape and 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon. I did have to use a retired button from the Neutrals designer buttons collection, but I needed something that wasn't a paper flower :)

Thanks for looking! Head on over to Tanya's blog!
